SUMMARY:“SINGLE PARENT SUPPORT PROJECT”
DESCRIPTION:Assisting the most unnoticed vulnerable groups of people in our African society which are the single parents. We often see the children of these groups suffer neglect out of no fault of their own because their single parents cannot take care of their feeding\, basic health care and educational needs. I was touched few months ago when I read in one of the Nigerian newspapers that a father beat her six year old child to death because she and her younger sibling finished all the garri (Nigerian staple food) in the house before it was due to finish while the father went to find work. A six year old can’t even take care of herself and again was left to take care of her younger sibling because they were abandoned by their mother for their father to take care of. The man has to struggle to meet daily needs and out of frustration\, unintentionally did the unthinkable. Same could apply to single mothers who are even more vulnerable. We are working hard to support these people either by food supplies\, training programs\, setting up a business for them or assisting in their children’s education. Any contribution you make will go into improving the lives of this particular family and the community as a whole and is tax deductible for countries that it applies. \n…together\, we can make a difference.
